At community events, our Think Liver Think Life® team provides engaging, hands-on education about liver health and wellness. We connect with liver patients, their families, and the broader community to share the programs and resources offered by American Liver Foundation, and include a free, family‑friendly activity for children and adults to enjoy.

State Liver Disease Facts

• 921 Missourians died from liver disease/cirrhosis in 2023.
• 8.9 per 100,000 of new cancer rates in Missouri are liver and intrahepatic bile duct cancer.
• 241 liver transplants were performed in 2025 with 135 people currently on the waiting list and 24 people who died waiting.
• 10.2% of adults in Missouri have diabetes.
• 36.7% of adults in Missouri are overweight or obese.
• 24.2% of adults in Missouri have no leisure-time physical activity.
• 43.9% of adults in Missouri consume less than one fruit per day.
• 19.6% of adults in Missouri consume less than one vegetable per day.
